The Shula Ankary Foundation

Established in 2000 to commemorate Shula Ankary's life and values, by her close friend Professor Rita J. Simon, The Foundation's goal is to support higher education for North African Jews. Its objective is to create a pool of well-educated young men and women capable of leading their community and country.

Eligibility for the Grant

Students who are of North African origin (under the age of 29) that have been accepted for B.A or M.A degree programs in the following Universities are eligible: Hebrew University, Bar-Ilan University, Tel-Aviv University, Ben-Gurion University, Haifa University, the Technion.


Requests for grants will be received every year between the dates: February 1 to March 31.

The Grant Committee will take into account the student's achievements, recommendations economic situation, and potential to contribute to the community and country.
